Giver of Life Jordan was born on Sunday, June 27th, 1999. Two days after he was born, he was admitted into the NICU. He had been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Hirschsprungs Disease. Jordan was a strong baby. He would endure anything that he had to go through at the hospital as long as his Mommy, Daddy and other family members let him wrap his fingers around theirs. At 18 days Jordan passed away. I did not want Jordan to die without him helping others in need. I decided to donate his organs to save a sick child. His heart went to a baby in Toronto and his kidneys stayed here in Edmonton. The middle aged women that received his kidneys could not have children of her own because of infertility. She wept when she found out that the kidneys she was getting were from an infant. She said that she would take great care of them. I believe Jordan was a gift from God. His purpose in being here, I believe, was to save lives ... and he did.
